HRM.1. a.                          
Policies: Doctors

 

Doctors should be MBBS Graduate from recognized University.

Should have at least 5 years of experience in multispeciality hospital.

Should have expertise in handling all technical equipments related to hospital.

 

Ratio:-

 

Ratio of doctors per bed: - Cater their services for all 30 beds.

 

  • Must take morning round of all wards in the morning by 08:00 am and in the evening by 08:00 pm.
  • At any given time 4 doctors must be available in the hospital (in the day shift and night shift).

 

Counseling: - Counseling frequency of patient/relatives: in the morning and in the evening after the round from all the wards including ICU. In emergency, counseling could be done on as and when required basis.

 

OPD Handling: - A doctor must not examine more than 30 patients in OPD per day.

 

Policies: Resident Medical Officers

 

Doctors should be MBBS Graduate from recognize university.

Should have at least 3 years of experience in multispeciality hospital.

Should have expertise in handling all technical equipments related to hospital.

 

Ratio of RMO’s per bed: - 1 RMO for 6 beds must be maintained. (24*7).

 

Shift/Handover timing: - Morning 08.00 am to 02.00 pm & Evening shift 02.00 pm to 08.00 pm and Night shift from 08.00 pm to 08.00 am.

 

Availability Check of emergency medicines, Equipments' inspection & signing of Nurses attendance sheet in the wards by RMO’s:

Morning 08.00 am, Afternoon 02.00 pm, and at Night by 08.00 pm.

 

Policies: Nursing Incharge

 

The nurse should be GNM qualified with minimum 8 years of concerned experience.

One nursing incharge per shift must be present.

 

 

Shift/Handover timing: - Morning 08.00 am to 02.00 pm & Evening shift 02.00 pm to 08.00 pm and Night shift from 08.00 pm to 08.00 am.

 

Availability Check of emergency medicines, Equipments inspection & assigning of Nurses & ward boys attendance sheet in the wards by nursing incharge:

Shift timing: Morning 08.00 am, Afternoon 02.00 pm, and at Night by 08.00 pm.

 

Policies: Nurses

 

She should be atleast ANM qualified or higher qualification (GNM) with at least 3 years of experience in nursing.

 

Ratio of Nurses per bed: - 1 nurse for 4 beds must be the ratio.

 

Shift/Handover timing: - Morning 08.00 am to 02.00 pm & Evening shift 02.00 pm to 08.00 pm and Night shift from 08.00 pm to 08.00 am.

 

Availability Check of emergency medicines, Equipments inspection & Nursing Staff duties as per SOPs for Nurses.

 

Policies: ICU

 

For ICU the ratio of one Doctor for 3 beds must be maintained (24*7).

For ICU the ratio of one Nurse to a bed must be maintained (24*7).

 

Policies: Ward boys

 

The ward boy should be minimum 10th class passed.

 

Ratio of ward boy’s:- the ratio of one ward boy for 3 beds must be maintained.
 

Policies: Securities and vigilance

 

Security guards should ensure the safety of the staff, patients, visitors along with maintaining peace in premises.

 

They should also ensure the safety of hospital assets. It will assist in enforcing hospital rules and regulations. Also traffic controlling in and around the premises.

 

The securities guard should be at least 8th standard passed and having minimum 2-3 years of experience in relevant field.

 

Per shift four Security Guards must be available, with proper uniform as specified. One guard must be present round the clock at the entrance gate.

 

Must be liaison with local law enforcement i.e. Police Department.

 

 

Ratio:  The ratio of one Guard for ten beds  and one Security Supervisor in each shift  must be maintained.

 

Shift/Handover timing: Morning shift 08.00 am to 08.00 pm, 

                                       Evening shift 08.00 pm to 08.00 am.

 

 

Policies: Front Office

 

H/She should be at least HSC passed and having computer proficiency.

H/She should be having at least 2-3 years of experience in relevant field.

Must have fluency in local and national language apart from English.

 

S/He should know the name of RMOs, Consultant Doctors and staff on duty.

S/He should know the policies of hospital with reference to different cases.

All receptionists must maintain the dress code as specified by the hospital.

 

Ratio: The ratio of three receptionists to one cashier must be maintained during day time i.e. from 08.00 am to 05.00 pm and in second shift two receptionists to one cashier must be maintained and in night shift two reception personnel must maintain at front office desk.

 

Shift/Handover timing: - 08.00 am to 05.00 pm, 05.00 pm to 11.00 pm and 11.00 pm to 08.00 am.

 

Reception desk staff must receive, attend and properly guide all the visitors to the hospital. They also attend all needs of the persons.

 

 

Policies: Account

 

H/She should be minimum commerce Graduate and proficiency in computer accounting software (Tally)

H/She should having minimum 3-4 years experience in accounting.

 

Cash handling policy

 

  • Cashier must review and check, physical cash at the counter in a morning every day by 09.00 am.

 

  • Cashier must visit the bank in the morning, and check the status of account.

 (a) Cash available in the account.

 (b) Number of cheques due for clearance for that day with amount and particulars.

 

 

  • He must consult and brief the center head in the morning regarding total cash collected since last evening upto morning, and plan cash required to be deposited in the bank for cheques due for clearance as per the status collected from the bank.

 

  • Every day cashier must deposit the amount in the bank account as per the above mentioned computation by 02.00 pm.

 

  • Per day at any given point of time minimum Rupees 30,000/- must be available apart from cash collection for that day.

 

 

Shift/Handover timing: - Taking handover of cash

   09.00 am to 06.00 pm.

 

 

Policies for Salary

·         Working period for Salary computation is fixed from date. 26th of previous month to dt. 25th of current month.

  

·         Disbursement of salary date is dt. 3rd   of next month.

 
Policies for payment of suppliers

 

·         Accounts Dept. must clear payments of suppliers through cheque within 45 days from the date of receipt of material along with invoice subject to quality clearance of material.

 

Policies for payment of service providers

 

·         Accounts Dept. must clear payments of service providers through cheque within 7 days from the date of receipt of service invoice subject to verification from duty chart and service sheet.

 

 

Policies:  X-Ray

·         X-ray technician must be science graduate with Diploma in x-ray technician course.

 

 Keeping in view the quality of work required, One X-Ray technician cannot be asked to do more than 30 X-Ray investigations per day.

 

 

Policies: Physiotherapy

 

·         He /She should be BPTN (Bachelor of physiotherapy) from recognized university.

·         Must have two physiotherapists on roll of hospital one in the morning and one in the evening.

·         Every day on resuming duties, the physiotherapists should check the operating condition of all concern instruments and machineries.  

·         Must attend the patient within 10 minutes from the recommendation by the concern doctor.

·         Must document treatment given in specified format.

 

Shift/Handover timing:

Morning shift:-09.00 am to 05.00 pm.

Evening shift:-05.00 pm to 11.00 pm.

 

 

 

Policies: TPA Coordinator

 

·         He must be Graduate from medical fraternity and having 3-4 years of experience in relevant field.

 

·         Ab intio must check the availability of concerned treating department as per the diseases recorded.

  

·         H/She must submit pre authorization form duly signed by the patient/card holder, with the copy of cashless service card, within 72 hrs of admission to the concern TPA.

 

·         In the event of patient’s arrival in the hospital from 7.00 pm to 10.00 am, RMO on duty will brief total case history telephonically to the TPA coordinator and after his consent patient will get admitted.    

 

Shift/Handover timing: 10.00 am to 07.00 pm

 

 

Policies: House keeping

 

He/She should be minimum 8th standard passed.

 

·         There must be at least 25 Sweepers  and 2 housekeeping incharge required. (from which 5 should be reserved sweepers for leave)

·         Must be 1 sweeper for 10 beds for general ward

·         Must be 1 sweeper for 5 beds in ICU/RICU units is required.

 

Shift/Handover timing: - 08.00 am to 05.00 pm, 08.00 pm to 11.00 pm and 11.00 pm to 08.00 am.

 

 

Policies: Pharmacy

 

H/She should be B.Sc passed and also completed with D.Pham also having experience of 2-3 years in Pharmacy technology.

 

·         Must maintain the stock  of the particular medicines

       

Shift/Handover timing: - Taking handover of cash.

08.00 am to 05.00 pm, 08.00 pm to 11.00 pm and 11.00 pm to 08.00 am.

 

 

Policies: Pathology

 

H/She should be completed B.Sc DMLT and having experience of min 3-4 years in Pathology Technology.

 

Shift/Handover timing: - Taking handover of cash.

08.00 am to 05.00 pm, 08.00 pm to 11.00 pm and 11.00 pm to 08.00 am.
